You’d trade places if you could — in a heartbeat. When your child’s heart condition breaks yours, know that the The Children’s Heart Center at AdventHealth for Children is there to help. We’ve partnered with Johns Hopkins Children's Heart Surgery Program, one of the nation’s leading pediatric congenital heart surgery programs, to help bring the very best in children’s open-heart surgery to Central Florida. Our team is ready with the most effective cardiac treatments and tools, including a cutting-edge hybrid catheterization lab made for our youngest patients. Our cardiac team can even detect most infant heart conditions during pregnancy, allowing for treatment right after birth — and all the way through adulthood.
There’s hope even for those who can’t afford heart care. The Trina Hidalgo Heart Care Center, the only clinic of its kind in Central Florida, offers free care if you’re uninsured. Supported by private donations and the AdventHealth Foundation, the center provides consistent, caring treatment for heart patients and coordinates additional assistance, like transportation to appointments. Because no one should have to choose between medical care and affording all of life’s other necessities.
Your goal is to stay out of the hospital. Our goal is to help you accomplish that. The mission of AdventHealth’s Heart Success Center is to keep heart failure patients at home and in the community, instead of in the hospital. A multidisciplinary team — including pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNPs), transitional registered nurses, and palliative care providers — will work with your primary care doctor or cardiologist to supplement your care plan for success.
Some of the additional assistance includes:
“It’s amazing. It’s a godsend. I am just so grateful.”
